Kim Hood

Kim is a Registered Clinical Social Worker with over 13 years of experience working with individuals and groups. She has provided counselling in person, by phone and online to individuals dealing with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, grief and bereavement, relationship challenges, self-esteem, trauma, and abuse. Through her empathetic and individualized approach Kim supports her clients in recognizing their core strengths and creating lives of greater self-awareness and well-being.

Kim also has a wide range of experience facilitating groups and workshops on topics such as career planning, anxiety, anger management, self-esteem and childhood sexual abuse.  Kim has her Masters of Social Worker degree and an Honors B.A. in Psychology and Criminology from the University of Toronto.


She is a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers and the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Kim is committed to ongoing professional development and attends workshops and training in order to remain up to date on current counseling practices. She currently teaches at the college level in the social service work program, combining her experience in adult education with her background in group and individual counselling.
